There are ten core qualities that a Great Network Marketer must possess. It is likely that you practice some or most of them already. But for you to become a leader and a great network marketer, and set the standard that others can duplicate, you must practice them ALL

When you live all ten-core qualities you have now moved into a commitment of success. You are committed and focused on building your business and being a great network marketer. You must find and be able to identify people who are willing to be great with you. Then you must work with all the willing in your group who are making that very same commitment.

Keep reading and let’s examine each of the core qualities:

Core Quality 1) Follow the system

Great network marketers know and understand that you must follow a simple, step-by step duplicatable system. The more simple the system the easier it will be to duplicate. One of the best ways to create duplicatable systems today is by leveraging the Internet. We will learn more about that in another article to come.

Great network marketers know that for walk-away residual income to happen you must be able to duplicate and create other leaders who also duplicate. Get great at the following the system and duplicating.

This will mean that everyone in your group is on the same page so to speak. They are all using the same marketing materials, training, and standardized presentation. This will ensure the method you use to bring in new people is the same method they will use to bring in new people.

In spite of someone’s past career experience, education and self-confidence level - they will be able to do the business exactly the same, successful way you do.

Core Quality 2) Use all of the products

As a great network marketer who is focused on the growth of their business and team members’ success, you must be using all of your company’s products that apply to you. You must be knowledgeable and excited about your products to be able to effectively build your business.

Core Quality 3) Build a group of loyal customers

A great network marketer knows network marketing is driven by product sales to the end consumer. Lots of the sales will be to the distributors of the company but many other people in the market would benefit from using your products or services. Many of those people who will use your product/ service won’t be interested in building a business at this time. Those people will become your loyal customers.

You must continue to build this group of loyal customers because you:

1. will want to service all the people who aren’t interested in becoming distributors but want and need your products or services
2. will earn retail income and be able develop a consistent income you can count on from loyal, satisfied and happy customers
3. will build personal group volume which can keep you qualified to earn lucrative bonuses and incentives

Core Quality 4) Get great at presenting and make regular presentations

A great network marketer knows Network Marketing requires you to consistently take the right action steps that get results. One of the critical action steps is presenting. You need to be doing three to six presentations a week when you start your business working part time. As you begin to grow your business you will want to increase the number. Once you reach what I consider full-time (about 20-25 hours a week) you will want to be making between six and ten presentations a week. Many of these presentations will be made to new people you would be personally sponsoring. As time goes on, lots of the presentations will be made on behalf of people in your team as you are training them and building depth.

Consistently making presentations will ensure you grow your business. Avoid thinking you’re growing your business by doing the “Busy work” (going to seminars, filling out forms, reading manuals, surfing the net, etc) These things are important but they are not the critical actions that lead to real results and growth. Making regular, successful presentations to interested prospects is.

Core Quality 5) Attend all of the functions

A great network marketer knows that functions are the element that will hold your business together. You must be part of the community. Attending them assists you in growing your business, gives you training and helps to keep you focused and energized. You will have times when you feel down and may have some doubts, the events will help to re-sponsor yourself and get you excited once again.

Any events within 2 hours driving distance are ones you will want to be attending. There will be other large events like conventions and leadership conferences (held annually) which are often life-changing, you will always want to make sure you attend them. If you need to, schedule vacation time around them so you can attend.


Core Quality 6) Take time to learn and practice personal growth everyday

Great network marketers know that success is something you attract by the person you become. Your business will only grow as fast as you do. To develop others you must first be able to develop yourself. To lead others you must first be able to lead yourself.

Make the time to improve yourself everyday. You need to exercise, listen to inspirational CD’s, read great books that help you grow your mind, body and soul and surround yourself with positive, successful people. Invest in CD’s, books, videos and courses that help your personal growth. Make sure many of them are specific to the network marketing industry and your business. Listen to CD’s in your car while you’re driving and get an Ipod to listen to while you are exercising. Finish your days with a positive book before bed instead of watching the news, TV or playing on the Internet

Ultimately, you will need recruiting and training skills, time management and organizational skills and finally, you will need leaderships, communication and empowerment skills. Luckily, you can learn all of them if you just take daily action to improve.

Core Quality 7) Be coachable

Great network marketers are willing to be coached. Network Marketing is different then traditional business. Often times, things that work well in sales do not work well in network marketing. One of the great things with network marketing is that your up-line support team will be able to work with you and teach you everything they know…without costing you a dime. Your up-line support team will know what methods, techniques and strategies work best in your business. Be coachable and take action on what you’re taught.

Core Quality 8) Be accountable

Great network marketers know they are in the business of building relationships, and relationships thrive on trust. You must earn and maintain trust. To do that you must be accountable to what you say. You must never tell a lie to your distributors or customers. Being accountable means that when you promise to work with someone, you do it; when you commit to attend an event, you’re there. Being accountable means that you do what you say…every time. It means you never approach someone else’s prospects or attempt to steal another line of distributors.

Core Quality 9) Know how to Edify

A great network marketer knows how edify their up-line support team. To “edify” simply means to build up and promote. As you edify your up-line to your prospect it makes the up-line support team more effective when they come to work or speak with them. It is much more effective to have another person deliver the message (presentation) to a prospect and the better the job of edifying you do the easier time they will have in communicating. The prospect will already be excited to meet and speak with your up-line before they even meet when you edify properly.

Core Quality 10) Be Consistently Consistent

A great network marketer knows that being consistent will yield the best results. You must be consistently doing the right action steps to build your business. Be consistently consistent and you’ll experience exponential growth in your business.

Following the ten core qualities above will result in massive success. Be dedicated to them all everyday and watch people take notice of your success and want to be a part of what you do. You will become a great network marketer who attracts other great people who want to work with you.
